Erawan Falls is the primary tour attraction within the Erawan National Park, a 1 hour drive north-west of downtown Kanchanaburi.
The waterfalls are comprised of 7 numbered cascades, and several minor falls. To gain admission, you will need to pay the Erawan Falls National Park entrance fee.
Several of the falls have a large pool suitable for swimming. A life jacket is required for swimming. This rule is strictly monitored and life jackets are available for hire for a small fee.
If you have time, you may hike all the way to the top. Even if you go only half way you will generate some body heat, so it is advisable to swim on the way back down. This way you also get the benefit of not being wet during the uphill hike.
